As many of you know, I’m selling a brand new iPhone 4 BOX on eBay. The bidding is up to $675 right now. i’ve emailed every bidder reminding them that this is a box and I’ve made multiple changes to the auction saying it’s a box. People really don’t get it but I’ve done all I can. 2 bidders have written back asking to have their bids cancelled because they see now that it is just a box but the auction has 4 hours left so we’ll see if it goes higher than $675.

It appears that a few blogs or forums have picked up on the auction. It’s been viewed nearly 1,300 times in the past 4 days and I’ve gotten some great messages from people Here are two of my favoites:

“YOU ARE MY HERO!!!!!!!”

and

If I buy it, will you put drugs in the amount of 
the auction in there and ship it to me?

That was a pretty great question. I declined to post that to the auction because…well, it’s a bit weird even if I answer “no”. 

Either way, I still fully expect the auction to be cancelled and even if I do get paid and send the box off, for the buyer to report it to eBay and they will probably side with the buyer even though everything in the auction is completely valid. Whatever. It’s been fun to see people bidding on a piece of cardboard.
